Developing a Scalable Booking System at University of Copenhagen

Purpose Behind the Development:

Our team developed a web-based system for the CAMP Research Group, streamlining seminar registration and attendance tracking. With a user-friendly interface and a powerful back-end, it offers easy access to information and improved data management and analytics.

Actions Taken:

We harnessed cutting-edge web technologies, including React.js, to engineer a responsive, dynamic user interface. Our architecture prioritizes scalability and maintainability, paving the way for straightforward future updates. Incorporating a MySQL database, we adeptly manage event-related data. Rigorous testing confirmed the site’s user-friendliness, functionality, and performance under load. By adopting an agile approach, we stayed aligned with the client’s needs, ensuring their vision was realized.

Technical and Managerial Approach:

Leveraging SCRUM, we steered the project with precision. The backend was crafted with Java Spring Boot and MySQL, while the frontend boasted React.js and TypeScript. This blend of technologies ensured a robust, efficient system tailored to the client’s specifications.
